Inscribed autograph musical quotation signed: "To Blues/ Charles Kalman" in blue ink. 3x8½. A line from "New York Impressions: Sutton Place Promenade". Austrian composer Charles Kalman (b. 1929) is author to many different musicals, operettas, and chansons; he has penned many different musical shows that have had successful productions in Germany, and also writes for television and film. Kalman left Austria in 1940 due to the war, and in the U.S. he received his formal musical training. The son of operetta writer Emmerich Kalman, Charles spent his childhood listening to Cole Porter and George Gershwin. His works include "We Travel the World" (1955) and "Dryad's Kiss" (2002). Frayed on right edge. Corners rounded. Slight toning. Otherwise, fine condition.
