First Day Cover honoring Sir Winston Churchill, postmarked Fulton, Missouri, May 13, 1965. 5c stamp affixed, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Charles S. Churchill was a railroad engineer, at one point the Chief Engineer at Norfolk and Western Railway. He designed the Luray Norfolk and Western Passenger Station in Luray, Virginia, which is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Toned. Corners rounded and creased. Adhesive residue on bottom right. Otherwise, fine condition.
