As a center at Auburn University, CHARLES BARKLEY (b. 1963) led the Southern Conference in rebounds three years in a row before turning pro. In sixteen seasons as a power forward in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers (1984-1992), Phoenix Suns (1992-1994) and Houston Rockets (1994-2000), he averaged 23 points and nearly 12 rebounds per game. He was a member of the U.S. Gold Medal Olympics teams ("dream teams") of 1992 and 1996, and entered the Hall of Fame in 2006. Aggressive on and off the court, the outspoken Barkley is a popular sports analyst. He has written two books, I May Be Wrong, but I Doubt It (2002) and Who's Afraid of a Large Black Man (2005). MIKE ERUZIONE (b. 1954) was captain of the U.S. Men's Olympic hockey team which captured the Gold Medal in 1980, after a stunning upset of the heavily favored Soviet team in the semi-finals. In 2008, ESPN viewers voted the finish of this game the greatest sports highlight ever shown. Eruzione declined NHL contracts to become a media commentator for several networks, and returned to his alma mater, Boston University, as a coach and Director of Special Outreach. DOUG FLUTIE (b. 1962) had a successful career at Boston College, passing for over 10,500 yards and 67 touchdowns. Well remembered for his "Hail Mary" 47-45 win over Miami, Flutie was awarded the Heisman Trophy in 1984. He enjoyed a long career in the NFL playing for the Chicago Bears (1986-1987), New England Patriots (1987-1989, 2005), Buffalo Bills (1998-2000) and San Diego Chargers (2001-2004), making the Pro Bowl in 1998. But he had even more success in the CFL, becoming a six-time All-Star with the B.C. Lions (1990-1991), Calgary Stampeders (1992-1995) and Toronto Argonauts (1996-1997), winning the Grey Cup three times (1992, 1996 & 1997) and being named the MVP for all three Grey Cup wins. Flutie is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and Canadian Football Hall of Fame. NHL All-Star KEVIN STEVENS (b. 1965) played in the league for 15 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins (1987-1995, 2001-2002), Boston Bruins (1995-1996), Los Angeles Kings (1996-1997) and New York Rangers (1997-2000). NHL All-Star ZARLEY ZALAPSKI (1968-2017) played in the NHL for 12 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins (1987-1991), Hartford Whalers (1991-1994), Calgary Flames (1994-1998), Montreal Canadiens (1998) and Philadelphia Flyers (1999-2000). Lightly frayed at right edge. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
