STEVE FRANCIS, who played his last two years of college ball for Maryland, was the #2 overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft. After five seasons with the Houston Rockets, Francis spent 1½ years with the Orlando Magic before joining the New York Knicks. A three-time All-Star (2001-2003), Francis became only the fourth player in NBA history to average 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game in each of his first five seasons.
