In full: "Contributions to an autograph book are rarely natural, or good, and therefore I remain Very Truly yours" Chauncey Mitchell Depew (1834-1928) was an attorney for the Vanderbilt railroad interests and President (1885-1899) and Chairman of the Board (1899-1928) of the New York Central Railroad. From 1899-1911, he served as a U.S. Senator from New York. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Otherwise, fine condition.
