CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN MOVIE CAST
The two stars sign their names on sheet music for the song "When You Wore a Tulip and I Wore a Big Red Rose". Extremely rare!
Sheet Music signed: "Clifton Webb", "Myrna/Loy", in black ink, 8½x11. Sheet music for the song "When You Wore a Tulip and I Wore a Big Red Rose", written by Jack Mahony and Percy Wenrich. MYRNA LOY (1905-1993) was a dancer who entered films in the silent era (1925). In a film career that continued up until 1980 (Just Tell Me What You Want), she frequently played strong, independent women. She co-starred with William Powell as husband and wife detectives in the six movies of The Thin Man series (1934-1947). Working through World War II with the Red Cross, she returned after the war in some of her strongest roles: The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948) and Cheaper By the Dozen (1950). She was awarded an honorary Oscar in 1991. CLIFTON WEBB (1891-1966) sang, danced and acted exclusively on stage until 1944, when he earned the first of his three Oscar Nominations for Laura. The other Oscar bids came for The Razor's Edge (1946) and The Baby Sitter (1948). For the latter, Webb developed his best remembered character, the pompous, irritable bachelor, Mr. Belvedere. Light surface creases. Ink stamps. Lightly toned. Worn at edges and corners. Small tear on "W" in title of song. Somewhat soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
