(The book is dedicated to "the millions of victims incarcerated by the US government's drug laws." Together, comedians Richard "Cheech" Marin and Tommy Chong comprised one of the most popular comedy acts of the early to mid-1970s. Their subversive, drug-oriented, and often scatological routines were particularly popular among young people and hippies. In 1978, Cheech and Chong made their feature-film debut in Up in Smoke, a comedy centered around their inane banter, the quest for good marijuana and careers as rock musicians. Their low-brow but funny antics were a hit and the film became that year's highest-grossing movie, and subsequently launched a short-lived series of similar films. Chong was imprisoned for 9 months after a US Drug Enforcement Administration sting operation. This book is in part a memoir and reflection on that experience. Tommy Chong, a Canadian, is the father of actress Rae Dawn Chong. Overall, fine condition.
