CHER. Signature: "Love/Cher", 4¼x5¼ album leaf. Cher (born Cherilyn Sarkisian) and husband Salvatore "Sonny" Bono emerged as a popular pop/rock duo with big hits such as "I Got You Babe" (1965) and "The Beat Goes On" (1967). Inspired by the act they had developed in Las Vegas nightclubs, the couple launched a popular television show (1971-1974, 1976-1977). Divorced from Sonny in 1974, Cher prospered as a solo artist, starting with her hit "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" (1971) and continuing to the present. She has also had great success in films, with a Best Actress Oscar nomination for Silkwood (1983) and a win for Moonstruck (1987). She was named Best Actress in the Cannes Film Festival for Mask (1985). Slightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
