CHICK CHANDLERSigned letter by the character actor, replacing a photo mailed to him with a more recent one Autograph Letter signed: "Chick", 1 page, 8x10. No place, no date. On personal letterhead to "Dear Pat". In full: "I am enclosing a more recent photo in place of one that you sent that my manager insists on having prints made. It takes about two weeks. If you would like me to send one when they are finished - please let me know." A stage, TV and film actor with a vaudeville background, Fehmer "Chick" Chandler (1905-1988) could also sing and dance. He played supporting roles and occasional leads in films for over thirty years (Melody Cruise, 1932; Dangerous Charter, 1962). A frequent TV face of the 1950s and 1960s, he played Toubo Smith in the short-lived Universal-produced television series Soldiers of Fortune (1955) and had a recurring role on One Happy Family (1961). Lightly creased. Lightly worn at left and bottom edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
