Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Jerry -/ Best wishes -/ 'At the Beginning' 1932/ Chick Chandler", in blue ink, b/w, 7¼x9½. A stage, TV and film actor with a vaudeville background, Fehmer "Chick" Chandler (1905-1988) could also sing and dance. He played supporting roles and occasional leads in films for over thirty years (Melody Cruise, 1932; Dangerous Charter, 1962). A frequent TV face of the 1950s and 1960s, he played Toubo Smith in the short-lived Universal-produced television series Soldiers of Fortune (1955) and had a recurring role on One Happy Family (1961). Lightly creased. ½-inch stain at lower left corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
