In full: "I have received your letter of the first instant and it will give me much pleasure to meet Mr. Justice Lewis on the occasion of his visit to The Hague. I shall be glad to give him a letter to the American Ambassador at London who doubtless will be able to make the desired arrangements. I am enjoying the work here and find the associations very agreeable. With kindest regards, I am Faithfully yours," New York State Supreme Court Justice MEIER STEINBRINK later served as National Chairman of the Anti-Defamation League of the B'nai B'rith. CHARLES EVANS HUGHES was Governor of New York (1907-1910), Associate Justice (1910-1916) and Chief Justice (1930-1941) of the Supreme Court, Republican candidate for President (1916), Harding and Coolidge's Secretary of State (1921-1925), member of the Hague Tribunal (1926-1930) and Judge, Permanent Court of International Justice (1928-1930).
