This Court served together from 1975, when JOHN PAUL STEVENS was appointed by President Ford, to 1981, when POTTER STEWART retired and was replaced by Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman Associate Justice. WARREN E. BURGER served as Chief Justice from 1969-1986. He was succeeded by WILLIAM H. REHNQUIST. THURGOOD MARSHALL was the first Black American Associate Justice. Lightly creased. Front cover is chipped at upper blank background, worn at spine. Overall, fine and interesting.
