#220 for 1977. Career bio on verso. In 1971, 22-year-old Chris Chambliss
began his major league career with the Cleveland Indians, capturing the Rookie
of the Year award. He played first base in the American League for ten
seasons, moving to the New York Yankees during the 1974 season before heading to
the National League (Atlanta Braves) in 1980. A career highlight was
Chambliss' 1976 home run to right field in the ninth inning against the Kansas
City Royals, giving the Yanks the AL championship. Chambliss' major league
batting average was .279, with 185 homers. Lightly worn. Otherwise, fine
condition.
