Printed photograph signed in ink: "Chris/Brown", in black felt tip. B/w, 8x10. Captioned in lower margin for the San Francisco Giants. Chris Brown (1961-2006) played for the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Detroit Tigers between 1984 and 1989. A third baseman out of Crenshaw High School, Brown was selected in the second round of the 1979 amateur drafts. His career highlights include an appearance in the 1986 All-Star games. He finished his 6 season career a .269 batter with 38 home runs and 184 RBIs. Following his playing career, Brown worked in Iraq during the hell fire of the war. Upon his return to the United States in 2006, Brown was killed in a fire in an empty house he owned in Sugar Land, Texas.His death has yet to be ruled a homicide, suicide or accident. Fine condition.
