Overall, fine condition. An ex-GI who had been born George Jorgensen, Jr. in 1926, Christine Jorgensen was the most famous transsexual of the 20th century. After undergoing three sex change operations in 1952-1953, the controversial Jorgensen, who considered herself as primarily a photographer, toured as a stage actress and singer until her death from lung cancer in 1989.
