CHRISTOPHER "CHRIS" BROWNE - INSCRIBED ORIGINAL ART SIGNED - HFSID 252402
He pens an original drawing of Hagar, inscribed to a fan
Inscribed Original Art Signed: "For David -/Best Wishes/from/Hagar/and/Christopher/Browne", 5½x3½ card. He has drawn his cartoon character, Hagar the Horrible. In 1973, Dik Browne began his very popular comic strip, Hagar the Horrible, featuring an overweight and somewhat henpecked Viking. When Dik Browne retired in 1988, his son Christopher took over the strip, which runs in nearly 2,000 newspapers worldwide. The character has inspired many cartoon books, including a guide to the world's most "sackable" cities. The strip's characters have been used to advertise a Danish beer, and, in a less than shrewd marketing effort, a short-lived Hagar the Horrible Cola. Fine condition.
