bottom edge. Nov. 1, 1972. Check no. 1985 for $23, payable to the Auto
Club of Southern California in Los Angeles, California and drawn on the account
of Christopher George c/o Nanas, Stern Biers & Co., CPAs, at the head office
of City National Bank in Beverly Hills, California. George had a single credit
in 1972: a starring role in the TV movie The Heist. George
(1931-1983) was an American actor who's probably best remembered as Sgt. Sam
Troy from The Rat Patrol (1966-1968), which earned him a Golden
Globe nomination. After being discharged from the Marines (1948-1952),
George started acting on the stage before landing his first movie role, an
uncredited part as a sailor in In Harm's Way (1965). In all, he had
almost 60 movies and TV shows to his credit, including a starring role as Ben
Richards on the TV show The Immortal (1970-1971). Lightly toned and
creased. Normal bank stamps; show-through from verso touches signature.
