George sends a note indicating he is feeling better again
Typed Note Signed: "Chris", in blue ink. 8½x11 typed. 25 January 1967. To: Mr. Albert Manski. In full: "Dear Al: Thanks so much for your concern. I'm feeling fine now and am back to work. Sincerely," In1967 while filming The Rat Patrol, George suffered injury when his jeep flipped over and pinned him beneath the vehicle - leaving him with a heart condition believed to have contributed to his death. ChristopherGeorge (1931-1983) was an American actor who's probably best remembered as Sgt. Sam Troy from The Rat Patrol (1966-1968), which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. After being discharged from the Marines (1948-1952), George started acting on the stage before landing his first movie role, an uncredited part as a sailor in In Harm's Way (1965). In all, he had almost 60 movies and TV shows to his credit, including a starring role as Ben Richards on the TV show The Immortal (1970-1971). Normal mailing folds. Lightly soiled and creased. Edges chipped at folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
