Document signed "Chuck Barris". Blue ink notations in unknown hand and black ink date stamp. 1 page, 8½x11. Dec. 18, 1969. Barris signed this document to calculate his dues for the Directors Guild of America for 1970. He said that he had no earnings as a director or producer for 1969, and estimated no earnings for 1970. Barris had one credit that we know of in 1969, as creator and producer of the short-lived game show The Game Game. CHUCK BARRIS (1929-2017) co-composed the song "Palisades Park", a #4 hit in the U.S. for singer Freddy Cannon in 1962. He's best known for producing and hosting television shows. Barris produced The Dating Game, The Newlywed Game, and The Gong Show, which he also hosted. His book, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, was made into a 2002 motion picture and was the first film directed by George Clooney. In it, Barris claims that he was recruited by the CIA and trained to become a covert operative. Lightly toned and creased. Folded twice and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
