comedienne Phyllis Diller. In full: "Thanks for the card and for remembering us." Barris, who
has drawn a heart around "Love" and "Chuck", has handwritten "St. Tropez,/France".
CHUCK BARRIS (1929-2017) co-composed the song "Palisades Park", a #4 hit in the U.S.
for singer Freddy Cannon in 1962. He's best known for producing and hosting television
shows. Barris produced The Dating Game, The Newlywed Game, and The Gong Show,
which he also hosted. His book, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, was made into a 2002
motion picture and was the first film directed by George Clooney. In it, Barris claims that he
was recruited by the CIA and trained to become a covert operative. Lightly creased with
