[CHUCK BERRY] An unsigned contractual agreement for a concert in 1972! Partly Printed DS: "Joseph D. Giovino" as Chairman of the Board of Stadium and Memorial Auditorium and "Horace E Burger Jr/Vice-President" for Harvey & Corky Productions, 4p, 8½x14, front and verso. Buffalo, New York, 1972 November 8. Agreement between the City of Buffalo and Harvey & Corky Productions to present "'Chuck Berry' & Rock & Roll Show" at the Buffalo Memorial Arena on November 11, 1972 from 7:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. The cost for the Arena was $750 and 12.5% of the gross receipts. Harvey & Corky Productions was also required to "provide bodily injury liability insurance in the amounts of $100/300,000. and property damage liability insurance in the amount of $25,000" and provide "Special Police...as ordered by the Board of Stadium and Memorial Auditorium". Also signed twice and initialed by a notary public. Chuck Berry is credited with writing the songs and creating the instrumentals that shaped rock and roll - and for setting the standard for live stage performances. Known for such hits as "Maybellene", "Roll Over Beethoven", "Johnny B. Goode" and "Rock and Roll Music", Berry began starring in stage extravaganzas in New York City early in his career and continued to delight live audiences with his showmanship and packaged rock and roll shows for decades. In the year he performed at this concert, Berry released one album, The London Chuck Berry Sessions. Lightly creased with folds. ½-inch separation at upper horizontal fold on signature page. Staple holes at upper left blank margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
