Photograph signed: "Chuck/Connors" (one "C" is incorporated into both
his first and last names). B/w, 8x9¾. Shown in character as Lucas McCain,
Connors' starring role in the popular TV Western, The Rifleman
(1958-1963). This popular series featured Connors as a rancher trying to
raise his son while continually called upon to protect his community. Before
becoming an actor, Chuck Connors (1921-1992) was a professional athlete,
playing basketball with the Boston Celtics and baseball with the Brooklyn
Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. He appeared in films for nearly forty
years, beginning in 1952, starring in the title role as Geronimo
(1962). His last starring TV role was as a 2,000-year old Werewolf in the
Fox Network series (1987-1988). Slightly creased at blank margins and corners,
light black mark at upper right edge. Minor surface creases (not evident head
on), some at facial image. Overall, fine condition.
