CHUCK KNOBLAUCH and SHANE MACK Both signed this special cover commemorating Game One of the 1991 World Series Commemorative Envelope signed: "Chuck Knoblauch", "Shane Mack", 6½x3¾. Special cover marking Game One of the 1991 World Series, postmarked Metrodome Station, Minneapolis, Minnesota, October 19, 1991 (the place and date of the game), 29-cent US flag stamp affixed. The 1991 World Series was the "Cinderella Series" because both the opposing teams had finished in last place the year before. No previous team had ever finished last in one year and won a World Series the next. Second baseman CHUCK KNOBLAUCH, the American League Rookie of the Year in 1991, played his first 7 seasons with the Twins. The speedy Knoblauch led the league in doubles in 1994, in triples in 1995, and was second in  stolen bases (62) in 1966. Traded to the Yankees in 1998, the former Gold Glove winner suddenly had trouble throwing to first base. He recovered mentally, however, and appeared in three World Series for the Yankees: 1998-2000. Wide-ranging outfielder SHANE MACK reached the Majors with San Diego in 1987, played 5 seasons for the Twins (1990-1995), and then spent 3 years with Japan's Yomiuri Giants before returning to the AL with Boston, Oakland and Kansas City through 1998. Mack finished 5 seasons hitting over .300, and he hit with power too. Fine condition.
