The remaining identified signers, and presumably the unidentified ones as well, spent Spring Training with the Reds but played elsewhere during the season. Walker (who would play for the Reds 1982-1985), and O'Keeffe played for the Indianapolis Indians, the Reds' AAA affiliate. Ryder played for Nashville of the Southern League, a farm club of the New York Yankees. The 1980 Cincinnati Reds under manager JOHN MCNAMARA (b. 1932) finished 89-73, third in the National League West, their ninth of ten consecutive winning seasons which included their World Championship teams of 1975-1976.  Signers include two future members of the Hall of Fame: catcher JOHNNY BENCH (b. 1947) was inducted in 1989 and pitcher TOM SEAVER (1944-2020) was inducted in 1992.  Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
