Chicago, Illinois, 1911 December 2. Witten to "Dear Mrs.
Thompson", in full: "It will give me very great pleasure to lunch
with you next Saturday at one-thirty, and meet with Roberta's friends and yours.
Gratefully and cordially yours," Clara Elizabeth Laughlin (1873-1941) was
born in New York City, New York. A graduate of Chicago High School, she
worked as the literary editor of The Interior in Chicago. An author of
over thirty five books, her works include biographies, novels, short
stories and plays. During the 1920's, Laughlin had weekly radio talk shows
about travel and she founded her company Clara Laughlin Travel Services.
She published a travel series So You're Going Too... and edited So
You're Going magazine. Normal mailing fold. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine
