creased at blank margins and corners. Minor surface creases (most not evident
head on), diagonal crease at upper portion touches forehead. Overall, fine
condition. With typed biography, unsigned, 1p, 8x10½. Slightly creased.
Fine condition. A former oil company executive, Claude Stout Brinegar
(1926-2009) served as the third U.S. Secretary of Transportation under
Presidents Nixon and Ford (1973-1975). In the position during the energy crisis
of 1973, Brinegar resigned to become an executive at the Union Oil Company after
Ford announced that he was running for the presidency in his own right. Brinegar
was later a member of Ronald Reagan's transition team (1980-1981). Two
