After winning the title as The Most Beautiful Girl in Tunisia (1958), Cardinale embarked upon a film career. A sex goddess but also a capable actress, she has worked mainly in Europe, appearing in the films of several of that continent's most celebrated directors (Abel Gance, Federico Fellini, Werner Herzog). Her U.S. popularity peaked with several films of the 1960s: Circus World (1964), The Pink Panther (1965), The Professionals (1966) and Once Upon a Time In the West (1968). She appeared in the TV miniseries Jesus of Nazereth (1977) and Princess Daisy (1983). 3¼-inch tear from upper left edge. Nicked in lower left corner.
