CLAYTON MOORE Color lobby card for the 1948 Republic Picture's film Marshal of Amarillo Lobby Card signed " Clayton Moore". Color 14x11. Lobby card for the 1948 Republic film Marshal of Amarillo. Moore (1914-1999) appeared in 10 other movies in 1949, but his most famous performance that year was on TV, when he debuted in the title role of TV's The Lone Ranger (1949-1952, 1954-1957). Moore (1914-1999, born Jack Carlton Moore in Chicago, Illinois) entered show business as a young circus acrobat. He worked his way up the ladder in Hollywood Westerns from extra to stunt man to supporting actor, reaching stardom on television as The Lone Ranger from 1949 and 1952 and 1954 to 1957. Thereafter he made a good living from commercials and public appearances as The Lone Ranger. Lightly toned and worn at edges. Otherwise, fine condition. Previously authenticated by JSA.
