Certificate No. G204. No place, 2005 June 4. Cleveland's 1964 Professional Football World Championship Team signs a certificate that makes the holder an Honorary Member of the team. In Full: "This certifies that the holder hereof is an Honorary Member of Cleveland's 1964 Professional Football World Championship Team and is entitled to all rights and privileges related thereto, including the right to attend sponsored player meetings and team events. In witness Whereof the undersigned officers and Members of Cleveland, 1964 Professional Football World Champions, LLC have affixed their signatures as of June 4th, 2005. Printed text on verso explains privileges of Honorary Membership. Small-print caveat at front bottom notes that this is a license evidencing a personal privilege, not a security. The 1964 Browns upset the heavily favored Johnny Unitas and Baltimore Colts star studded lineup. With home field advantage the browns held the Unitas's offense to a 0-0 score at halftime. In the second half Cleveland scored 27 unanswered points to a 27-0 victory for the Browns. This was their fourth and most recent NFL championship. Included here are four members of football's Hall of Fame: JIM BROWN, generally considered the greatest running back of all time; wide receiver PAUL WARFIELD; kick return man LEROY KELLY; and kicker LOU GROZA. FRANK RYAN was the quarterback. GARY COLLINS was MVP of the NFL championship game, scoring three touchdowns in the Browns' rout of the Colts. The Cleveland Browns formed in 1946 and won all four championships of the All-America Football Conference (1946-1950). They also won four championships in the successor National Football League. The original Browns franchise moved to Baltimore in 1996, becoming the Ravens, but a new Browns team took the field for Cleveland, beginning in 1999. Fine condition.
