CLIFFORD M. HARDIN
Small 5x6¾ b/w bust photo of Clifford M. Hardin, signed "with best wishes". Hardin was U. S. Secretary of Agriculture under Richard M. Nixon from 1969 to 1971.
Inscribed photograph signed "To George Sanders/with best wishes/Clifford M. Hardin". Black ink notations on verso in unknown hand. B/w, 5x6¾ overall, 4¼x4¼ image, one surface, printed on cardstock. Hardin (1915-2010) was a university professor and Chancellor of the University of Nebraska (1954-1969) before serving as U. S. Secretary of Agriculture from 1969 to 1971 under President Richard M. Nixon. He was succeeded as Agriculture Secretary by Earl L. Butz. Lightly toned. Signature is lightly smeared in places but is legible. Stray ink mark at blank area, not touching signature. Otherwise in fine condition.
