In 1989, CLINT BLACK (b. 1962) became the first male country singer in 15 years to top the charts with his first single, "A Better Man." His debut album sent gold in six months, and he won six awards from the Academy of Country Music, including Best Album and Best Male Vocalist, in 1990. Black, who was hot in the 1990s and remains popular in the new millennium, combines a traditional approach to country music with an appeal to pop audiences. Stage, screen and television actress and singer LISA HARTMAN (b. 1956), the daughter of Houston country singer Howard Hartman, married country singer Clint Black in 1991 and has made several appearances as a vocalist with him, including appearing on his 2005 TV special, Clint Black Live: Drinkin' Songs & Other Logic. Hartman, who is sometimes billed as Lisa Hartman Black, has starred on several television series, including Tabitha (1977-1978), Knots Landing (1982-1983 as singer Ciji Dunne; 1983-1986 as Cathy Geary Rush) and 2000 Malibu Road (1992). She has also appeared in a long list of made-for-TV movies and guest starred on a number of TV shows. Hartman was also the hostess of the syndicated magazine show, Cover Story. "Killin' Time", one of the hits from Clint Black's first album release, was a logical name for a fan newsletter. Three horizontal folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
