Autograph Note signed: "Bless you, George. It's a pleasure to be your friend. Coleen Gray" in blue
ink, 5x4¼. newspaper clipping with photo, b/w, 3½x1¼, affixed at lower left edge. Actress
Coleen Gray (1922-2015), born Doris Bernice Jensen, starred in films of the late 1940s
and 1950s and in supporting parts thereafter. Her prominent films included Kiss of Death
(1947), Red River (1948), Kansas City Confidential (1952), Tennessee's Partner (1955), and
The Killing (1956). Gray was last seen on the big screen in Cry from the Mountain in 1985,
and she made her last television appearance the following year, guest starring on an episode of
Tales from the Darkside in 1986. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a
prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Paper and
adhesive residue from a previous mounting on verso. Right edge unevenly cut. Edges of entire
piece outlined in ink. Lightly soiled and creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
