COLIN BAKER
Shown as Dr. Who in this 4x6 inscribed color photo, he signs as
"Colin Baker "Who?"
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Karen/Colin Baker/Who?".
Color, 4x5¾. Colin Baker (b. 1943) played the popular Doctor Who
on British television from 1984 to 1986. He was the sixth Doctor Who, and
the only actor in that role who had previously played another character in the
series. (He had shot The Doctor in a 1983 episode, leading to jokes that he
would stop at nothing to get the part.) After leaving the series, Baker (no
relation to the fourth Doctor, Tom Baker) remained popular at fan conventions,
and has reprised the role on audio tapes and a stage version. He has also
written two Doctor Who stories. Baker has had other important TV and
film roles, both before and after Doctor Who. These include recurring
roles on the series The Brothers (1974-1976), and on the daytime quiz
show Countdown. His stage appearances include a production of H.M.S.
Pinafore, and the role of Inspector Mouse in the new play House of
Ghosts. He is married to actress Marion Wyatt. Fine
condition.
