Printed Photograph signed in Ink: “Best wishes from/ Colin Weston”, in blue felt tip, b/w, 3½x5½. Colin Weston (b. 1948) worked as a programming continuity announcer for Granada Television for over 30 years. Trained by well-loved announcer Don Murray Henderson, Weston eventually became one of the widely-recognized TV personalities in North West England. He was very popular due to his unique approach to announcing. After becoming Chief Announcer, Weston led a team whose members included Andrew Brittain, John MacKenzie, Pam Dodd and Roger Tilling. He left Granada in 1998, at the same time the network was relocated to the studios of Yorkshire Television in Leeds. More recently, he has worked at a voiceover artist and radio broadcast presenter. Corners lightly worn. Verso stained (no show-through). Otherwise, fine condition.
