White", "Scott Crossfield", "Frank Borman", "Dick Gordon", "Marc Garneau" and one other, 5½x3½. 33-cent Airmail postcard First Day Cover honoring the China Clipper, the seaplane that flew the first transpacific airmail flight in 1935, postmarked San Francisco, California, February 15, 1985 FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. CHUCK YEAGER was the first to break the sound barrier (1947). ROBERT M. WHITE and SCOTT CROSSFIELD (first to fly Mach 2) were pioneer X-15 pilots. FRANK BORMAN and DICK GORDON were Apollo astronauts. MARC GARNEAU was the first Canadian in space (1984). Fine condition.
