Color, 8x10. US Air Force Colonel John E. Blaha (b. 1942), a fighter
pilot and test pilot with 361 combat missions in Vietnam, became an
astronaut in 1980. He made 5 spaceflights (1989-1997), serving as
Pilot of shuttle missions STS-29 and STS-33, and as Mission Commander on
STS-43 and STS-48. His final orbital mission was as Engineer 2 on the
Russian Mir space station. Blaha logged 161 days in space. Slightly worn at
edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
