Signature: “Marion T. Bennett/Missouri” in black ink on a 3½x2½ note card. Colonel Marion T. Bennett worked for the federal government across all three branches over his 56-year career. Under the Executive Branch's authority, he served as a colonel in the Air Force Reserve until 1974. After winning a special election to take his father's place as a U.S. Congressman following the older Bennett's death, Marion T. Bennett was reelected to both the 79th and 80th Congresses, serving in that office from 1943-1949. He served as part of the Judicial Branch as commissioner (1949-1964) and then chief commissioner (1965-1972) of the United States Court of Claims. Fine condition.
