Entirely filled out by Blauvelt and endorsed by Kahn on verso. William F. Blauvelt (1850-1916), a US Army officer, fought the Plains Indians, reportedly including Sioux chieftain Sitting Bull (Custer's nemesis). Rising to the rank of Colonel, he also served in the Spanish-American War (1898), and in the international relief expedition during the Boxer Rebellion (1900). Ink slightly smeared on 'Pay to' line. Cancellation holes. Ink stamps. Otherwise, fine condition.
