Come See the Paradise (1990) is an American film written by Mattias Thuresson which tells the story of a couple who is forbidden to be together, but they escape until the outbreak of the war. The younger brother of Randy Quaid, DENNIS QUAID (b. 1954) usually plays more serious roles than his often comic brother. His most memorable film roles have included Breaking Away (1979), The Right Stuff (as astronaut Gordon Cooper,1983), The Big Easy (1987), Great Balls of Fire (as rock icon Jerry Lee Lewis, 1989), Dragonheart (1996), Frequency (2000), The Rookie (as real-life middle-aged baseball rookie Jim Morris, 2002), and in the same year Far From Heaven. That performance as a closeted gay husband in 1950s suburban Connecticut earned him several film awards but no Oscar nomination. A native of Okinawa, Japan TAMLYN TOMITA (b. 1966) found her first role as Kumiko in The Karate Kid, Part II (1986). Shortly afterward, Tomita released an album entitled Sweet Surprise, on the Japanese record label Polydor, which included her single - I Can't Stand the Pain. She received a Young Artists Award for her role as Miyeko in the television movie Hiroshima (1988). Since then, Tomita has found herself as a guest star in over 90 titles including The Joy Luck Club (1993), Living Single (1994), Touch (1997), Seven Days (1997), 24 (2003), The Mikado Project (2010), and more recently Glee (2012). Her latest role is that of Vivan Lew in Teacher of the Year (2013). Fine condition.
