Commemorative Envelope signed: "W Robert Maxwell/7 confirmed victories plus 1 probable", 6½x3¾. Envelope bearing special postmark of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Loyalty Day Station, Del City, Oklahoma, May 1, 2002, 34-cent US stamp affixed. U.S. Navy ace William Robert Maxwell had seven "kills" while serving with the VF-11 and VF-17 during WWII. As shown here, Maxwell believes he downed an eighth Japanese plane. Lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
