CONDUCT UNBECOMING MOVIE CAST: TREVOR HOWARD, HELEN CHERRY and STACY KEACH
Still from the film, showing all three on a British military reviewing stand
Photograph signed: "Trevor Howard", "Helen Cherry", "Stacy Keach". B/w, 10x8. Conduct Unbecoming was a 1975 drama with a star studded cast. Entering films after an injury discharge from the British army in World War II, TREVOR HOWARD (1913-1988) played romantic leads, action heroes, and in his later years character roles. He was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for Sons and Lovers. Other noteworthy performances include Brief Encounter (the film which made him a star, 1945), The Third Man (1949), Mutiny on the Bounty (as Captain Bligh, 1962) and Gandhi (1982). HELEN CHERRY (1915-2001), primarily a British stage actress, appeared in occasional films, including Adam and Evelyne (1947) and Time After Time (1985). She was married to Trevor Howard from 1944. STACY KEACH, JR. (b. 1941) is the son of actor Stacy Keach, Sr. (1914-2003) and the brother of actor James Keach. He is best known for his title role on TV's The New Mike Hammer (1984-1987), which he reprised in two made-for-TV movies. Keach was nominated for a Golden Globe for this role. Originally a stage actor, highly praised for his Shakespearean roles, Keach was nominated for the 1970 Tony Award for his Broadway debut in Indians. Since making his film debut in 1968 in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, Keach appeared in a long list of feature films and TV appearances. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Corners lightly worn.  Fine condition.
