CONNIE FRANCIS
Black and white, signed publicity photograph of the young actress and recording artist, wearing a form fitting dress
Inscribed printed photograph signed in ink: "Hi/Lee/Connie/Francis". B/w, 8x10. Publicity photograph for M-G-M Records. Captioned at lower margin. From the late 1950s through the early 1960s, Connie Francis (b. 1938), was one of the most popular female singers in America, with hits including "Who's Sorry Now?", "Stupid Cupid" and "Everybody's Somebody's Fool". In 1960, she debuted in the youth-oriented film Where the Boys Are, the title song providing her with another hit. Francis, who appeared in three similar films through 1965, continued to appear in concert. Lightly creased at blank margins and corners, slightly soiled at lower right margin and background. Minor surface creases (most not evident head on), diagonal creases touch the "cis" of Francis. Overall, fine condition.
