By mutual agreement, the actress and Warner Bros. agree to change the procedure to be followed in selecting the second of her two movies under her existing contract.
Contract signed: "Constance Bennett", 1 page, 8½x11. Burbank, California, 1931 May 29. Letter of agreement on stationery of Warner Bros. Pictures, modifying the procedure for selecting the second of the two stories to be filmed under her current contract, dated January 6, 1931. The original contract called for selection of the second story, but mutual consent, during the filming of the first picture. Because an interval is now expected between the two filmings, the second story is now to be selected no fewer than 60 days before filming begins. Other terms of the January 1931 contract are unchanged. The sister of actress Joan Bennett, CONSTANCE BENNETT (1905-1965) appeared in silent movies of the 1920s, then returned to movies in the 1930s in fallen woman and light comedy roles. Her films included Topper (1937) and Paris Underground (which she also produced, 1945). She made her last film appearance in the TV movie Madam X (1966). The two films in which Bennett starred for Warner Bros. under this contract were Bought! (1931, which also featured her father Richard Bennett), and Two Against the World (1932, co-starring Neil Hamilton). During this same period, a busy Bennett was making other films for RKO. Staple hole at center top edge. Rusting at top left corner. Corners creased. Multiple mailing folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
