FDC honoring "Underground Railroad" conductor Harriet Ross Tubman, 13-cent Tubman stamp affixed, postmarked Washington, D.C., February 1, 1978, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. On June 8, 1953, the Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. had officiated at the marriage of his son, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Coretta Scott (1927-2006) near her home in Marion, Alabama. After her husband's death in 1968, Mrs. King continued his work, writing and lecturing on behalf of Civil Rights and international peace. Slightly creased. Fine condition. Framed in the Gallery of History style: 23½x19¾.
