CRAIG COXE
NHL player signs photograph in blue ink
Printed photograph signed in ink: "Craig Coxe" in blue felt
tip. 3½x4¼. Craig Coxe (b. 1964) is a retired NHL player of American
descent, playing for 8 seasons with the Vancouver Canucks (1984-1988,
1989-1991), Calgary Flames (1987-1988), St. Louis Blues (1988-1989), and the San
Jose Sharks (1991-1992). Originally playing roller hockey in his native
California, Coxe was drafted in 1982 by the Detroit Red Wings, but would
never play a game with them. He is often remembered as an enforcer, having a
number of feuds in particular with Bob Probert of the Red Wings and Black Hawks.
He was traded to the San Jose Sharks in the 1991 NHL expansion, and would be
the first player of the Sharks franchise to score a goal, coincidentally
against his former team the Canucks. Edges frayed. Corners rounded. Stain on
verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
