He made his first film, ...And Justice For All, in 1979. While film stardom eluded him, Nelson appeared in numerous movies, including Private Benjamin (1980), The Chicago Story (1981), Poltergeist (1982), Silkwood (1983), The Killing Fields (1984), Turner and Hooch (1989), The Josephine Baker Story (1990) and The Ghosts of Mississippi (1996). He is most noted for his television work, beginning with the short-lived military drama, Call to Glory (1984-1985). Nelson then starred as college athletics instructor Hayden Fox on the top-ranked ABC sitcom, Coach (1989-1997), winning an Emmy Award in 1992. He was also nominated for Emmys in 1990 and 1991 and was nominated for Golden Globes from1992-1995 for the role. Nelson also starred as Chief Jack Mannion on The District from 2000-2004. Minor crease at upper left blank corner. Fine condition.
