CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL: STUART COOK
The bass guitarist who is an original founding member of Creedence Clearwater Revival signed this index card
Signature: “Stu/ Cook”. 5x3 index card. Stuart “Stu” Cook (b. 1945) is an American guitar player who met future bandmates John Fogerty and Doug Clifford in middle school. John's older brother Tom joined the band soon after. At first, the foursome went by the racially-charged name the Golliwogs, but in 1967, their record label's new owner worked with them to rename them Creedence Clearwater Revival. They experienced the most success in 1969 and 1970, releasing five albums in those two years. All five albums were certified Platinum. Stu spearheaded the revival of the group with Doug in 1995. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
