The 1965 AL Rookie of the Year signs a Rawlings Official American
League baseball (Budig).
Baseball signed: "Curt Blefary/#3". Rawlings Official American
League baseball, Gene A. Budig, President. Outfielder/First Baseman Curt
Blefary (1943-2001) played for the Baltimore Orioles (1965-1968), Houston
Astros (1969), New York Yankees (1970-1971), Oakland A's (1971-1972) and San
Diego Padres (1972). He was 1965 Rookie of the Year when he hit .260 with 22
HR and 70 RBI. On May 4, 1969,the Astros tied a major-league record
with seven double plays in a 3-1 win against the Giants. Blefary set a record
for first basemen by participating in all seven DP's. Lightly soiled. Fine
condition.
