The long-time personal assistant to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher signed this letter
Autograph letter signed: "Cindy" in blue ink. 5½x7¼. April 9, 1961. Written on personal
letterhead to "Dear Uncle Arnold and Mrs. Weissbernger" in full: "Thank you very much for
inviting us to cocktails. It was very interesting to meet all the fascinating people. You were so kind
to think of us. I hope you had a lovely Easter and hope to see you again soon. Sincerely". Cynthia
Crawford was Margaret Thatcher's personal assistant for many years. She was by the side
of the “Iron Lady” at key points in her life, particularly when Thatcher's husband passed away.
They remained friends until Thatcher's death in 2013. Crawford went on to appear in various
documentaries about her former employer in The Truth Is Out There (2011), Young
Margaret: Life, Love & Letters (2013), and Maggie and Me (2013). Toned. Corners
