(2005). Sweeney has also appeared in several feature films, including Memphis Belle (1990),
The Cutting Edge (1992), and Hardball (2001). He is best known for his portrayal of
Shoeless Joe Jackson in Eight Men Out (1988). Sweeney's performance was especially
credible due to his career in minor league baseball, which was curtailed by an injury. He
has become known for his voice work on various productions such as Brother Bear (2003),
